To use the Shippeo Driver App efficiently, ensure your device meets the following requirements. Below are the device and storage specifications you need to follow for optimal performance:
Device Requirements
Operating System:
- Android: Devices must have Android 8.0 or higher.
- iOS: Devices must have iOS 13 or higher.
Recommended Device Brands:
- Android: Shippeo recommends Samsung devices as they are used by 50% of our customers. Other well-established Android brands should work well too.
- iPhone: iPhone 8 or higher is recommended.
Storage Requirements
- Minimum Storage: The app requires at least 200 MB for installation.
- Additional Storage Needs: More storage is required if your use case involves taking multiple pictures or operating the device offline for extended periods.
- Data Sync: Pictures and events are stored locally until they are synchronized with the platform, after which they are deleted to free up space.
Image Compression
- Compression Size: Images are compressed to be less than 1 MB to optimize storage and upload times.
