Customers will have the capability to track their shipment's progress door-to-door. This functionality will be operational when the ocean carrier manages the transportation to and from the inland location or terminal, allowing us to offer transparency to our clients throughout these stages.

Inland Origin & Destination

  • Inland Origin : Location where the carrier takes possession of the cargo from the shipper
  • Inland Destination : Final destination where the carrier delivers the cargo to the consignee

Order List Overview

On the Order List page, the loading and delivery columns and filters still pertain to the port locations (Port of Load and Port of Discharge) rather than the inland Origin or inland Destination.

Furthermore, the "Ocean status" filter now includes Inland origin and Inland destination locations. This will allow users to filter and view orders based on their status at both the port and the inland locations, providing a more comprehensive overview of the order statuses.

NOTE

  • Filtering containers at a specific inland location in Shippeo is not supported. Instead, you can utilize the "Ocean status" filter to pinpoint orders with inland locations.

Order Details Overview

On the order details page, the inland locations are displayed on the vertical and horizontal timelines, accompanied by their respective milestones details at these locations on the horizontal timeline, providing an overview of the order's progression.

Furthermore, Various modes of transportation are linked to the milestones to and from the inland locations, including trains, trucks, and barges.

ETA Calculation

The estimated time of arrival (ETA) and the estimated time of departure (ETD) at the Inland location are communicated solely by the Ocean Carrier. It is important to note that Shippeo does not provide ETA information for Inland locations.

Shippeo API/EDI Flow

At present, the Unlocodes and scheduled dates provided by the shipper in the orders-in API messages pertain to the Port of Loading (POL) and Port of Discharge (POD). Inland location data is not currently accommodated. For further information, please refer to our API documentation here.

If you are getting data through EDI from Shippeo, ensure that the EDI flow is enabled for inland locations on Shippeo's end. Contact your Account manager to verify this. For more information, refer to our API documentation.
